WellAWARE™ offers a patent protected integrated system incorporating unobtrusive and highly accurate sensors and software, enabling professional caregivers and family members to monitor the ongoing health status of a cared-for individual in various settings. Data captured through the sensors is processed through an inference engine and the combination of behavioral monitoring and emergency alerts promotes improved care provider intervention. In addition, caregivers can adjust their treatment modalities by analyzing the individual’s wellness information.
Through proprietary algorithms that formulate the raw data from the sensors to trend analysis over a variety of timeframes (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.), WellAWARE has the inference ability to trend multiple wellness indicators. The trend analysis enables caregivers to more easily detect developing conditions, resulting in earlier intervention for more serious chronic or acute health issues. For example, more frequent nighttime bathroom visits can indicate the possibility of a urinary tract infection. Such notable changes in wellness patterns can be signs of emerging health problems that require attention and will be flagged by the WellAWARE solution to support proactive care. The solution can also track improving conditions to report positive feedback to caregivers.
To illustrate, the system automatically compiles sensor information and prioritizes the data for further analysis by a health care professional:

The system generates reports on sensor-detected events and trends. These are then displayed on the WellAWARE website in an easy-to-understand dashboard format which is accessible directly by the caregiver. Potential emergent conditions will prompt alerts directly to the designated caregiver by cell phone, email, or paging system.
Professional caregivers can easily review the overall status of all individuals in their care at any time, or drill down to a single individual’s page to obtain additional detailed reports which enable the caregiver to proactively identify and address potential chronic or acute health conditions.
